In Memoriam Dr. Marie Varley

Drs. Varley and Gil-Ramos at Caritas Academy Celebration at the Liberty House Restaurant on the Jersey City Waterfront in 2007.
Dear friends,
I would like to share with you a personal lettter I sent to Marie Varley when she was convalescent at the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell St. Catherine of Siena Health Care Center, just three days before she died, as the Angelus Bells rang on Labor Day, September 2, 2013.
Bayonne, 8/29/2013
Dear Marie,
I have not words to even start explaining what you mean in my life. You are all for me. You are my best friend, my co-worker, my mentor for eight years, since I started working with you in the Development Department at Saint Dominic Academy, and even more, my unconditional supporter and motivator all the time. You are always present for me, I can call you at anytime and you will give me the best advice and share with me your unlimited knowledge and wisdom. Always ready to help others, sharing more than you even thought you could. Your life is a mirror where all of us can just look and learn.
Yesterday, when we went to visit you, all we wanted to say to you is how much we love you and how proud we are of all the teaching and lessons you has given us through your successful life. You are our Angel and I know you are caring for all of us now and always.
Peace,
Sara Gil-Ramos
