Biografía:

Nació en Madrid en 1971, aunque reside en Plasencia, Extremadura, desde la niñez. Allí asistió a la Escuela de Arte Rodrigo Alemán, donde se especializó en dibujo, pintura y modelado. Posteriormente estudió cursos de diseño gráfico impartidos por la Junta de Extremadura (Plasencia), y cursos de serigrafía en la Escuela de Arte, ARTELEKU, en San Sebastián (País Vasco). Durante su trayectoria artística ha realizado numerosas exposiciones colectivas, como la Exposición de Artes Plásticas «GENERACIÓN 21», «Ateneo Ciudad de Plasencia» o en la Cámara Municipal de Oirás (Portugal); e individuales, entre las que podemos destacar las Series, «MEMORIA», «ENSAYOS SOBRE PAPEL», «JEROGLÍFICOS», «SIN TITULO» y «PAISAJES». Asímismo su obra ha sido galardonada en numerosos certámenes locales y regionales, obteniendo el primer premio en el «III Concurso Nacional de Comic», entre otros.

Biography:

Javier Malmierca was born in Madrid in 1971, and has resided in Plasencia, Extremadura since childhood. There, he assisted the Escuela de Arte Rodrigo Alemán, where he specialized in illustrating, painting, and modeling. Later, he studied and attended courses in graphic design at the Junta de Extremadura, Plasencia, and courses in silk-screen printing at the School of Art, ARTELEKU, in San Sebastián, Basque Country. During his artistic career, he has been involved in numerous collective expositions, such as the Exposition of Plastic Arts “GENERACIÓN 21″, “Ateneo Ciudad de Plasencia” (The City of Plasencia’s Cultural Club). A few of his solo expositions include “MEMORIA” (Memory), “ENSAYOS SOBRE PAPEL” (Essays on Paper), “JEROGLÍFICOS” (Hieroglyphics), “SIN TITULO” (No Title) y “PAISAJES” (Landscapes). Similarly, his work has been awarded in numerous regional and local competitions, obtaining the «First prize» in the III Concurso Nacional de Comic (Third National Contest of Comic Books), among others.
